PRESIDENT – SENIOR CITIZENS’ ASSOCIATION OF B.C. REPORT TO REGIONAL SPRING MEETING April 10, 2017 held at the TRAIL SENIOR CENTRE

It has been a busy time as we prepare for the AGM in Houston May 4th to 6th. Our business is mostly done by email, so we did not have to have an Executive Meeting in February this year.

Branches having difficulties keep us busy as we try to help them out. Some of them are not always happy with what we have to tell them but we do the best that we can. The best solution to most problems is for the Branch to follow their Constitution and ByLaws, or the Association’s Constitution & ByLaws.  If that does not resolve the issue, then call us and we will do our best to help you. It seems the larger branches run into the most problems. Smaller Branches usually have enough difficulty keeping membership up. I don’t know the answer to that as it seems every organization is facing that difficulty.

Do the best you can, work together and hopefully we all stick together to provide the best we can for our seniors. Remember when we all work together, we can achieve better results than just being on our own.

Be sure to report back from this meeting to your membership.

Have fun, make new friends, gain knowledge and help out wherever you can.

For those of you going to Houston, see you there.

Respectfully Submitted:

Gale Detta, President
