TRAIL SENIORS BRANCH #47

REPORT TO REGIONAL SPRING MEETING

April 10, 2017, held at the TRAIL SENIOR CENTRE

GREETINGS FROM TRAIL

We would like to welcome everyone to Trail Seniors Branch #47.

We have the Selkirk College Transitional Cooking School here.  Geoff Tellier is the Chef and he prepares very delicious and reasonably priced meals, Wednesday to Friday from September to May. He also does four banquets a year for the Seniors where we usually have all 80 Banquet Tickets sold for first two weeks after we receive them.

We have Bingo on Fridays from 1 to 3:30 pm. Our Bingo Caller, John Nakken is from Fruitvale and volunteers to call for us.

We have Canasta on Tuesdays, Bridge on Wednesdays and Crib on Thursdays.

We hold dances every two weeks if possible. We had a dance on April 8th with 37 people in attendance. Peter Makortoff donated his time to play for us.

We are holding the Silver City Days Dance on May 10th from 4 to 8 pm.  The city pays the band and the Seniors provide the Lunch.  We held the Silver City Dance last year for the first time with 75 people in attendance.

Respectfully Submitted

Annette Gallatin,

Secretary, Branch #47
