GRAND FORKS SENIORS BRANCH #68
Report to West Kootenay/Boundary Regional Meeting – Midway, B.C.

This was a difficult year for Branch 68 as the Grand Forks flood caused extensive
damage to our centre which was in the flood plain.
The building has officially been declared unfit and will probably be destroyed.
Since then, our address has been moved to my address: 7148 – 18th Street, Grand Forks,
BC.
Our member’s activities are being held at temporary locations. Our membership has
dropped to around 52 due to a loss of some groups who have had to find alternate
locations for activities.
The only activities we have at present are cards and quilters. We have lost Kung Fu,
Carpet Bowling and another quilt group. Meetings are being held at whatever
appropriate location we can find.
At present we are investigating alternate solutions to a new center, but it is a slow
process.
